Society's Annual
Holiday Party Set
For December 10

As announced by letter in November, plan on attending the traditional holiday pot-luck dinner aboard a static Fillmore & Western train on Sunday evening, December 10th.
Every member and their family are welcome.
This end-of-the-year event has been a great time to share memories about the past years' activities, trips, experiences and funny happenings, not to mention a chance to poke a little fun.  It's a chance to see old friends before the holidays and make new ones.
Special awards will be presented to those members who have been 'star participants' throughout this past year.  These are the people who came out to Society activities the most and always seemed to step up when deadlines approached and Society work needed to get done.  In other words, we could always count on them to be there.
The dinner begins at 6:00 PM.  Gather on the north track promenade where we will board the train.  Since it's a pot-luck dinner, each family is asked to bring a dish for sharing.  Based on the first letter of your last name, here's what you can contribute:
A-H Main Dish
J-M Side Dish
O-S Salad
T-Z Dessert

Fillmore/SCRVRHS Sign Lease

SCRVRHS President Paul Haase (l) and Fillmore City Manager Roy Payne (r) sign the documents that lease the Railroad Interpretive Center (RIC) property to the Society.
The land at Main and Mt. View will only cost the Society $1.00 per year!  Currently sitting on the site is our 96' turntable and the #1119 caboose.  Now that the lease is signed, con-struction will soon begin.
